A February to Remember! 2009

Holiday Season 2008!

Happy Holidays! December 2008

The wonderful holiday season! The air gets crisp and cold (...but not in Florida - we had 65f / 18c to 85f / 29c...), snow falls (in pictures of other places, just not here...), and families gather (...the closest one to us only had to travel 865 mi / 1393 km, the other had to travel 2159 mi / 3475 km...) to share each other's company and eat a lot of good food.

Ann Runs 5K in Orlando August Heat

Family News - August 23 2008

Up at 5:45am. Make coffee. Check Olympic results on TV while waiting for coffee. Ignore cats. Get newspaper. Read front page. Pour coffee. Continue ignoring cats. Wonder when my chauffeur will wake up... oh, sorry... not chauffeur... husband. Drink little more coffee. Read paper while listening to Olympic results. Coffee starting to wake me up. Notice now for first time that the weather isn't full of rain and wind. Tropical Storm Fay might have moved on then. Seems like a good day for a 5K run.

Ahh, now chauf... ahh, husband... is drinking coffee. All is looking good. Cats! "Do you think you're going to get fed at 6am!" Dress, pack some stuff. Tell husband, we're leaving at 6:30am. Feeling little butterflys - thinking this will be fun. Oops, "Hey! We gotta go! It's 20 minutes to 7!"

Fay Working Like the Energizer Bunny

Family News - August 21 2008

Well, day four with the storm, and it's working like that tireless pink bunny for Energizer. Fay never became (yet) a hurricane, but as a tropical storm, it's certainly causing problems, flooding being so far the worst. Here in Orlando, precipitation since Monday is between 9 and 15 inches!

First potential hurricane?
